Percy Jackson The Lightning Thief -2010

IMDB: Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief – 2010

When the nobody loser Percy Jackson gets attacked in a museum by a monstrous fury who happens to be wearing the skin of his substitute english teacher Mrs Dodds, he finds his life changes completely, and interestingly so.

When his best friend and one of his teachers rescue him, his entire world starts on these changes. He discovers that he has been framed for having stolen Zeus’ master bolt (better to lose his bolt than his bait). He suddenly discovers that he is in fact that he is a demigod, and that he is the son of Poseidon.

When in his escape from the city Percy’s mum gets killed by a minotaur, he begins to make his way to the Underworld to make a bargain with Hades for her release, and then everything goes sidewards.

Well damn, have you seen the names in this cast? It’s like a who’s who of hotness on both sides of the fence (where we look at it on a binary gender fence – do we have any major non-binary gender stars? If so, can you let me know some of their movies for me to watch?).

Not just that, but this must be the only film in the history of cinematography in which Sean Bean does not get killed off!!!

But shoving all that hotness to the side, this movie is just very flat. The story is both clear and obvious, the acting uninspiring, the soundtrack bearable (where any of it actually becomes memorable). The main thing that lifts this movie above average, is the graphics. The CGI in this film lifts it above the base average. But not by much.
