For this weekend since I have been left at home and unsupervised, I am going through 20 MCU movies in the MCU’s chronological order, starting from Captain America: The First Avenger through to Ant-Man & The Wasp.
T’Challa returns home after what to him feels a lifetime abroad, to finally assume the mantle of King and fight to retain the title of Black Panther, the little nations hero and protector. However, his crowning will not be as expected when factions both within and outside of the nation seek to challenge his rule from the day of the crowning ceremony and on.
“Just because something works, does not mean it can’t be improved.” How so very true this phrase is, in relation to so many aspects of our own lives and jobs.
T’Challa’s fight to hold onto his nation, and to keep it out of a war that appears to be closing in in one for the ages, and the first true major conflict that their nation has participated in, and will be their first major entrance into the public following their attendance at the Sokovian Accords, where T’Challa’s father was killed.
Eventually old enemies become new friends, and the world is changing, and it’s coming up to the biggest change ever.
There were a lot of good and bad reviews about this movie when it first came out, but I love it. The story isn’t an original one as it has been told before in a variety of ways with a variety or characters, but it is a well told story, it has some holes in it (as many stories frequently do) but the residual is decent and solid.
The acting, well, to be honest in some areas it is very clearly rehearsed and obvious that some more takes could have been done with it. The special effects, again there were moments where i feel it was just not tidied up enough, other times (such as with the rhino’s) it was very well done.
