When the lifelong friends (the pirate) Sinbad and (the noble son) Proteus had to band together to protect a priceless artefact, before Sinbad dies, only to be spared death by Ares the goddess of chaos on the condition that he needs to steal for her the Book of Peace, the artefact that he had just helped to protect.
When Sinbad can’t go through with it, she changes into him into to frame him for the crime. When he gets arrested he swears his innocence, and only Proteus believes him, and takes his place in punishment giving Sinbad 10 days to get the Book of Peace back.
As he journeys through terrors and travesties to get to Tartarus in order to steal the book back from Ares, he finds out some truths of himself, and the crew he has sailed with, before outsmarting Ares at her own game, and getting the book back.
As far as kiddie movies go this isn’t to bad, though there is a running habit of the animation artists making the women in these movies somewhat underdressed and significantly curvy (in all the right places – nudge nudge wink wink if you know what I mean) which whilst nice for teenage boys, not so interesting for adult boys as its very obvious what they’re doing. Overall worth at least a single watch.
