Hal Jordan, flight jockey test pilot, arrogant ladies man and general all round not hero. When he sacrifices his plane in a test exercise, and buggers up most things in his life, he finds himself being chosen by the lantern to be the newest member of the Green Lantern Core.
This matchup of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively bring two very highly respected and regarded players to the screen in this semi-hit. These two have a great chemistry on the screen and it shows.
As Hal begins his training in what it means to be a Green Lantern, and how to use his will to best design, he finds the earth coming under attack by an entity of exceptional power, a being that once upon a time was the epitome of the guardians, until he sought to master the power of the enemy, of fear, and becoming Paralax.
As the Guardians continue loosing their battles against Paralax, and only feeding him more souls and increasing his power, Hal must make a choice.
Run, and maybe survive, or, fight and maybe die to save the woman he’s fallen fall, and the planet that is his home.
Not the best DC adaption, but a long way from the worst, and there are so many of those in the universe.
