Now You See Me – 2013

IMDB: Now You See Me – 2013

IMDB Rating: 7.3/10

Rotten Tomatoes: 50%

Having seen this movie now a few times in the last 4 years, I have a feeling that the title is less about the magic, and more about the Detective being able to show his true self to someone finally after creating his secondary persona as a child following his fathers death.

This movie holds a lot of truth of the “experience of magic” the excitement of it and mystery that surrounds it and binds it to our imagination. Whilst using a lot of clever special effects that can only really be done via CGI with the visual impression of being done “live”, the tricks are very impressive to behold, and how they bind everything together is well designed and told even better.

I thoroughly enjoy this movie (and its sequel), its soundtrack, the cast is well done, and the story telling is breathtakingly fresh.
