When a civilian weapons engineer is sent to the front line of the US’s battle against the insurgents for Moldova, when one of his hardware designs picks up a near invisible threat that has been killing soldiers on both sides without warning or perceived motive.
The locals believe they are the mythical “Spirits of War” that are born of conflict and the hatred between the two forces, and are instant death to anyone they come in contact with. Others think that they are just soldiers of a third combatant armed with some new technology that renders them invisible, and both sides want it for themselves.
The truth is a little in between.
As far as Sci-Fi movies go, they either push too far or just not enough, I think this one takes the middle ground very neatly. It’s actually not too bad a story line that (whilst quite implausible in and of itself) is well laid out, with good turns and twists in the plot without making far reaching jumps.
If you’re up for something a little different in the Sci-Fi genre, give this one a look.
