Arrietty – 2010

IMDB: Arrietty – 2010

IMDB Rating: 7.6/10

Rotten Tomatoes: 94%

When a boy with a critical heart condition gets sent to live with his grandmother in order to relax, he unexpectedly ends up living with the last of the “borrowers” in the littlest sense, who are terrified of the humans.  What develops with the friendship between Arrietty (the borrower) and Shaun (the sick kid) is a little magical and entirely emotionally enthralling.

Arietty is one of Studio Ghibli’s masterpieces and it lives up to the reputation of the studio and is another classic movie. It is a truly exceptional merger of both character development, story and animation.

Even if you aren’t a fan of animated movies, give this one a chance, and you won’t be disappointed.
