Gus is getting old and the player recruitment team that he works for thinks that he is getting far too long in the tooth and it’s time for him to give it up and retire from the profession to let some new kid take his spot.
Throw into the game (pun intended) is his estranged daughter, who gets asked by his friend to see if he is ok, and to get him fully checked out to make sure that he is ok. The doc tells him he must get his eyes fixed as they are failing and failing quickly.
The road trip that is spewed forth by Gus’s decision to put it on hold, takes him and his daughter on a path of conflict and the resurrection of their estranged relationship.
To be perfectly honest, I started watching this movie last night around 11:30pm, and to be honest, I saw maybe half the movie. Was I engrossed? Absolutely not, but that could be due to the hour. Would I set it up to watch again, this time in full? Probably not.
